Here is our #1 recommendation for the caregivers on your list:
If you’re looking to pamper someone on your list AND give them skills that will help support the vital work they do throughout the coming year, this workshop would make an ideal gift. Compassion Fatigue is known as the cost of caring. We like to look at it as a call to rest. But, it’s more than that. When we understand there is a cost to caring it’s important for us to practice self-care, and consider how to reduce vicarious trauma to reclaim capacity.
Running on December 19th we’ll help fuel the compassion tank of your loved one just in time for the holidays. They’ll not only learn why compassion fatigue happens and what to do about it, but we’ll practice self-care throughout the day. And, all participants will leave with a goodie-bag.
Based off the work of registered Psychotherapist. and renowned speaker, Francois Mathieu, Compassion Fatigue addresses the impact of burnout, and vicarious trauma. And how to get back to a place where we function out of a healthy capacity.
This interactive workshop uses a combination of individual, small group, and whole group activities.
Throughout the day, participants work through a personalized strategic plan that serves as a practical tool for dealing with the effects of their own compassion fatigue. Past participants have reported feeling inspired to make meaningful changes in their personal, professional and organizational lives in addition to learning practical strategies for identifying and dealing with the costs of caring.
Whether you’re in the helping profession, a personal caregiver, or someone who wants to learn resilience-building early on, this workshop is for you.
