We’re only 2 days away from the upcoming Mental Health First Aid weekend workshop in Guelph. Are you busy during the week? Learn these evidence-based certified skills without having to miss week-day work.
Mental Health First Aid is made up of a number of elements, including video-stories of lived experience, activities, strategies on how to support an individual developing a mental health problem, or experiencing a mental health crisis, like a panic attack, overdose, psychotic episode, etc. All enriched by the facilitator’s lived experience: something the Mental Health Commission of Canada encourages. They know talking about mental health problems is a significant factor in reducing stigma.
To register for the January 26 & 27 weekend workshop click here.
All participants will be receiving a complimentary copy of my published book Breathe: A true story about marriage, faith, and attempted suicide. As well as a free PASS RE+Minder card deck; mindfulness cards for Panic, Anxiety, Stress, and Support.
If you know of someone who could benefit from learning these skills please let them know how to get in touch with us. We also offer in-house workshops for organizations, and can even provide off-site complimentary workshop space through our new Life Voice Workshop & Wellness Centre in Guelph!
