There are moments in life that change us forever. Moments that break us wide open, shake the very foundation we stand on, and leave us questioning everything we thought we knew. Breathe is the story of one of those moments. It is the story of one of my moments.
On March 8th, Breathe: A True Story About Marriage, Faith, and Attempted Suicide will be released into the world. This book is deeply personal—raw, honest, and vulnerable. It tells the story of an arranged marriage of sorts, of faith, and of the devastating reality of psychosis that wreaked havoc on our family. It is about what it means to fight for someone you love, to wrestle with the tension between hope and helplessness, and to find a way to keep breathing when life feels impossible.
Breathe is not just my story. It is the story of so many who have fumbled through the darkness of mental illness and suicidal thoughts, uncertain if the next step would lead to safety or suffering. It is a book for those who have felt unseen in their struggle, searched for meaning in their pain, and longed for a voice that says, You are not alone.
In a world that often feels heavy—with economic uncertainty, global tensions, and personal battles that don’t make the headlines—conversations about mental health, grief, and resilience matter more than ever. It can feel like there’s never a “right” time to talk about these things. But maybe that’s exactly why we must keep talking.
If you have ever loved someone battling psychosis, if you have ever felt the weight of suicidal thoughts, if you have ever wondered where faith fits into suffering—this book is for you.
This journey has not been easy to put into words, but my hope is that Breathe will be a lifeline. That in these pages, you will find comfort, understanding, and, above all, the courage to keep going.
Mark your calendars for March 8th. If this book resonates with you, I’d love for you to pre-order a copy, share it with a friend, or help spread the word. Stories like this matter. And sometimes, knowing we are not alone can make all the difference.
In hope,
